When & Why Choose Aion?  

If you want to absorb water well from your work, or if you have something that troubles absorption, Aion’s products will solve the problem at your facility.  Aion produces 3 kinds of sponges: PVA, PU (=Polyurethane) and PO (=Polyolefin).  These are not usual sponges, but Aion sponges ABSORB water a lot and also KEEP the water very much.  

What Is the Sponges PVA, PU, or PO, Produced by Aion? 

Continuous Open Cells & Micro-Porous Material:  

The sponge has many pores: almost 70~90% of the volume is totally empty, even though the sponge looks like a solid-block form.  The base material portion constituting the cells forms a three-dimensional reticulated structure with each cell completely linked, so the sponges absorb water so much and they are lint-free.  

Hydrophilicity:  

Due to the chemical composition, the capillary action is caused inside of sponges of microcells, so the sponge has moisture-absorbing and moisture-retaining properties. Once the sponge absorbs water so much, the sponge keeps the water very much, but it is NOT hydrolyzed so much.  They are long- lasting.  

Suppleness (Soft Touch):

For PVA in wet condition, and for both PU and PO in dry condition, the sponges are very soft and they do not make scratches on the article.

What Is Aion PVA?  

Aion can produce Roller shapes and Sheet shapes.  Regarding sheet shape, depends on the size, we can make your requested size.  In dry, it is hard, but it is very soft in wet.  We can also control some pore sizes.  The heat resistance is 60C and it is not durable and strong under the alcohol and strong acid or alkali chemical, but the price is most reasonable in our products.  

The main application is for Plate glass, Curved glass, PCB, Lead Flame, Car mats, Tires, Food packing material, (After) coating, or Wiping.  

What Is Aion PU (=Polyurethane)?  

Aion can produce Roller shapes and sheet shapes.  It has an extremely soft hand a dry state.  It offers a stable performance even in an environment with temperatures over 100C a wet state and 130C a dry state.  It can be used in alcohol and acids, but it is not durable under high concentration alkaline.  Price is costly compared with PVA.  

The main application is for PCB, Lead Flame, Photomask, LCD, and Metal thin film, coating, ink retainer, and conveyor line.  

What is Aion PO (=Polyolefin)?  

Aion produces roller shape as PO roller and sheet shape as PE or EVA material.  They have extremely soft hands and a dry state.  PO roller and PE or EVA sheet are durable under higher concentrated acid and alkali. The heat resistance of PO roller is 100C, that of PE is 80C and that of EVA is 50C.  Price is costly compared with PVA.  

The main application is for PCB, Lead flames, Spacer for electric devices, Coating and Conveyor line.  

How to Select Material of Aion Products: 

PVA is the most reasonable price for you if its chemical or heat resistance is enough for you.  If your application is not proper for PVA, judging from chemical or temperature, we recommend PU or PO for the roller, and PU, PE or EVA for the sheet.
