At IMTS, the International Manufacturing Technology Show that took place last month in Chicago, Taiwan was a major exhibitor. More than a hundred Taiwanese companies showcased new smart manufacturing solutions – from Internet of Machine Tools to virtual reality for production planning, and promoted their great quality for lower cost. Is this a reason for traditional Western players to worry?
