SITA, a global leader in air transport technology solutions, has entered a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Airport (RSI) to deploy advanced systems for its new Main Terminal Building. This collaboration follows the successful implementation of SITA’s systems at RSI’s Air Taxi Terminal, further cementing the partnership between the two entities.

The Red Sea International Airport is an integral part of The Red Sea destination, a flagship project of Red Sea Global. Designed to accommodate one million guests annually by 2030, RSI aims to provide a seamless, technologically advanced travel experience for up to 900 passengers per hour.

Smart Airport Solutions

Under the new agreement, SITA will introduce a suite of airport solutions that streamline passenger processing, baggage handling, and operational efficiency. Key implementations include:

  • SITA Flex and Maestro Departure Control System: Automating check-in and departure processes while enabling passengers to control their journey via mobile devices.
  • SITA Bag Manager: Real-time baggage tracking to ensure efficiency and minimize mishandling, freeing staff for higher-priority tasks.
  • Airport Management Systems: Leveraging data for resource optimization and operational agility.
  • Information Display Systems: Providing accurate, real-time flight updates to keep travelers informed.

This partnership will leverage existing infrastructure from the Air Taxi Terminal, ensuring swift and cost-effective implementation while enabling seamless interoperability between systems.
