France Hydrogène brings together stakeholders in the French hydrogen sector. Its mission is to accelerate the development of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen to succeed in the energy transition of the country. They have released their barometer that gives an overview of the deployment of hydrogen in France in 2023, from production to distribution, including operational plants and vehicles already in circulation. We created this infographic based on data from France Hydrogène.
France Hydrogène gathers 460 members. They are either large industrial groups, SMEs, and startups supported by research laboratories, or associations, competitive clusters, and local authorities. All of the members are committed to deploying hydrogen solutions.
In a statement, Philippe Boucly, President of France Hydrogène said:
“The hydrogen momentum is materializing on the ground with hydrogen production sites primarily serving mobility applications today. Several massive projects are secured; however, deploying the equipment and infrastructure takes time, delays that we must strive to minimize in this necessary acceleration phase to combat climate change.”
