Nabla, a new French startup specializing in AI has secured a €22 million funding round to develop an AI-based co-pilot for doctors and healthcare professionals to assist in drafting clinical notes.
The Series B funding was led by Cathay Innovation and Zebox Ventures (CMA CGM incubator) in early January.
It follows the trend of French AI startups raising substantial funds, with Nabla being one of the latest after MistralAI at the end of the previous year.
A Copilot for Doctors
Nabla aims to create an assistant capable of generating doctors’ clinical notes through AI, aiming to save valuable time for healthcare personnel involved in transcription.
Launched in March, Nabla Copilot uses natural language processing to produce instant medical reports, including medical coding.
According to the company, clinicians save 2 hours per day on clinical documentation with the Copilot. 90% of them have reported a significant reduction in fatigue.
Currently, Nabla reports that 20,000 providers are using the assistant.
Conquering the US
The company plans to leverage these new investments to expand its presence in both the French and American healthcare markets.
They already have an office in Boston.
