Global plastic production is a staggering 380 million metric tons annually, according to Plastic Oceans. Shockingly, only 9% of plastic waste is globally recycled, while 22% is poorly managed. While plastic production remains profitable, an increasing number of industrial companies are now addressing the plastic waste crisis with concrete actions. The plastic industry is shifting toward a circular economy for a sustainable future.
