Meet TORO, the New Assembly Robot

His name is TORO. Equipped with 4 robotic arms, this lightweight robot is torque-controlled. It was initially designed by the German Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics for use in the automotive sector (for the assembly of gear boxes). But TORO is about to find a new area of applications in the aircraft industry.

Our partner publication AeroExpo e-magazine met TORO last month, at ILA Berlin, an aviation fair in the German capitale. Watch their video.
