The countdown has begun for the world’s leading additive manufacturing (AM) trade fair. From November 18–21, 2025, Formnext will once again transform Frankfurt into the epicenter of industrial 3D printing, bringing together more than 800 exhibitors from across the globe. Tickets are on sale.
Organized by Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, Formnext has established itself as the industry’s central meeting point, where the latest AM technologies, applications, and business opportunities converge. The online ticket shop is now open, with an early-bird discount available until October 21, 2025.
In a press release, Sascha F. Wenzler, Vice President for Formnext stated:
“In today’s increasingly competitive landscape, additive manufacturing can make the decisive difference—whether by optimizing in-house production or creating more valuable products.”
Christoph Stüker, Vice President for Formnext added:
“Formnext provides the technologies, expertise, and contacts to turn that potential into reality.”
Spain: Partner Country 2025
Each year, Formnext highlights a partner nation, and in 2025 that honor goes to Spain. With a fast-growing AM sector and strong expertise in systems, materials, and research, Spain is also uniquely positioned as a gateway between Europe and Latin America. Around 30 Spanish exhibitors are expected to showcase their innovations this year.

Stages, Seminars, and Showcases
Formnext’s supporting program has become a major draw for professionals across industries. In 2025, presentations will take place on three stages:
- Industry Stage – covering overarching topics such as sustainability, AM industrialization, and design for AM.
- Application Stage – featuring case studies and insights directly from AM users.
- Technology Stage – dedicated to cutting-edge exhibitor innovations.
Daily Discover3DPrinting seminars, organized with the Aachen Center for Additive Manufacturing (ACAM), will provide newcomers with an introduction to the technology. Deep-dive sessions will cover large-format plastic 3D printing, Directed Energy Deposition (DED), data-driven design, and scaling AM production.
In addition, specialized showcases will highlight applications in mechanical engineering (VDMA) and construction (BE-AM), while the BE-AM Symposium on November 19 will explore the future of 3D printing in the built environment.

Awards, Start-ups, and Careers
Formnext will again spotlight innovation through the Formnext Awards, recognizing breakthroughs in sustainability, technology, and entrepreneurship across six categories. Public voting begins in October, with winners announced on November 20, 2025.
Young companies will also get their moment in the spotlight at the Start-up Area and Young Innovators booth, supported by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWK). Pitching sessions at the Pitchnext event on November 18 will give start-ups the chance to connect with investors and partners.
For job seekers, AM Jobs@Formnext provides a unique career platform, including a job wall, career counseling, and professional photo sessions on November 20.
A Global Hub for AM Innovation
Beyond the exhibition floor, Formnext will host the AM Innovation and Standards Summit, organized by ASTM International on November 17, one day ahead of the official opening. Together, these programs underscore Formnext’s role not just as a trade fair, but as a global innovation hub driving the industrialization of additive manufacturing.
