Canada is this year’s Hannover Messe partner country. This country is a global player in industry and innovation. Canada’s industrial sector is a pillar of its economy, driving innovation, exports, and job creation. With strengths in energy, aerospace, automotive, mining, and forestry, the country plays a crucial role in global markets.

Canada’s selection as the partner country for the German trade fair Hannover Messe was initiated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz two and a half years ago.

At the Hannover Messe Press Preview last February, which was attended by our DirectIndustry journalist Stéphanie Maingard, Evelyne Coulombe from the Embassy of Canada to Germany described Hannover Messe 2025 as

“the most important event in our economic area of bilateral relationship with Germany. Our presence at the fair is really meant to show businesses, organizations, and governments that Canada is a reliable partner in these changing times.”

Coulombe highlighted her country’s strengths, including its green, digital, and resilient solutions.

This infographic provides a visual breakdown of the key industries shaping Canada’s economy, supported by the latest data from Statistics Canada, the World Bank, and the International Energy Agency.
