This portable NIR spectrometer by IoSys, equipped with a Li-Ion battery and WiFi connectivity, enables the precise identification of non-carbon black polymer types, foils, multilayers, and small plastic particles. It offers a fast and efficient solution for material analysis in various industrial and environmental applications. It won the thrid price of the I-Novo Award for its innovative approach to polymer identification.

With this portable unit it is possible to identify non-carbonblack colored 2D- and 3D-plastic parts like solids, foils, multilayers, granules, flakes and other materials like carpets and textiles in Milliseconds. For measurement the instrument is just held on the surface of the sample surface.
In this video you can see the instrument in action:
The miRoGun4.0 unit functions both as a handheld and a desktop instrument. It allows users to easily place small particles—less than 1 mm—at the center of the measuring head, ensuring optimal optical focus.
The unit contains a fully equipped database for thermoplastics, foils and textiles based on neural network models as well as a user-definable database. Every user can individually define up to 1 million plastic spectra.
Users can easily operate the device through intuitive icons on the 4.3-inch color touchscreen. With a WiFi connection, they can seamlessly communicate with an external computer for result monitoring and data exchange.
It allows the analysis, comparison and storage of all measured spectra on the PC, also individual printouts of the measuring report with comments. In the Analyse-mode up to 80 different spectra can be displayed at once in different colours.
The mIRoGun4.0 features the latest Li-Ion battery technology and is designed for one-handed operation. A wrist strap ensures secure handling, and the unit comes packaged in an aluminum suitcase with all necessary accessories.
