The New Worker Could be A Drone

    / / / / / /

Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, is testing the use of aerial drones for inventory inside its large warehouses. These flying robots could speed up data collection time. Moving up and down aisles full of boxes, a drone can take 30 label photos per second. This reduces to a single day a task that requires a month if performed by an employee. Switching to drones could help Walmart improve logistics and supply-chain efficiency.
