The New Boston Dynamics Atlas Robot Exhibits Human Behavior

Last month, robotics manufacturer Boston Dynamics presented its new Atlas series humanoid robot via video. At 1.80 m tall and 82 kg, this robot is able to perform human tasks. It can walk in the snow, pick up boxes and put them on shelves. Its agility enables it to avoid falling. The machine’s legs are equipped with embedded sensors that enable it to keep its balance on uneven terrain or if it is pushed. Even more impressive, the video shows Atlas quickly regaining its feet after being knocked to the floor by its inventor!
