The Autonomous Drone

/ /

Drones are increasingly replacing humans in industrial settings. They can access hard-to-reach areas and even perform inspections in dangerous zones. Airobotics, an Israeli company, wants to go further by automating industrial drones, reducing even more the need for human involvement. And it has raised $28.5 million to do so. Their software platform enables drones to fly for 30 minutes to conduct routine inspections and surveys without human intervention. For example, they can check security perimeters, stock quantities or temperature levels, day or night, from their Airbase platforms, without need of a pilot.
