#40 - AUGMENTED WORKER

I-novo Award: Fine-tuned Progress

One of the fastest ultralight aircrafts on the market has won the 2018 AeroExpo i-Novo Tech Award. The TL-2000 Sting S4 is the fourth version of the design and TL-Ultralight s.r.o. put all of the experience and feedback they received from pilots and owners over the last ten years into perfecting the model. They’ve included the best features from the previous Star, Sting Carbon, StingSport and Sting S3 models while adding new innovations and optimized aerodynamics. The Sting S4 is fighter-shaped and streamlined with the primary structure in 85% carbon fiber for maximum strength with minimal weight. It’s a two-seater with a lightweight four-cylinder engine for a cruising speed from 180 km/h to 250 km/h, with a stalling speed at 63 km/h, a maximum level flight speed of 285 km/h and a never exceed speed of 305 km/h.

In addition to the S4’s aerodynamic structure and speed, it also has striking 360-degree panoramic visibility in the cockpit, which not only provides an amazing view while you’re flying but is also extremely helpful for takeoff, controlling the craft and landing. Today the Sting S4 is at the top of its game not only in terms of speed but also as a comfortable aircraft that handles well.
