Domgy, The Robot Made by China

The Chinese start-up Roobo revealed Domgy, one of the first autonomous service robots designed for home. Domgy is at once a personal assistant, a security guard and a domotic (or home automation) aide. Thanks to facial and audio recognition technology, it can monitor all electronic devices in a house and alert the owners in case of intrusion. It can also map dangerous zones in the house for children and elderly. Domgy is equipped with a MTK processor, a camera, a connection for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an infrared light and a touchscreen. Different detections sensors, such as light, temperature, humidity and a gyroscope for its movements, are also embedded. It can run for up to six hours on its own, and moves at speeds of up to 5km/h.
