Open automation systems provider Beckhoff showcased the advantages of PC-based control technology at MOTEK 2018.
The Germany-based company demonstrated how itsTwinCAT Vision integrates all image processing applications – from detection, measurement and identification to pick-and-place and quality checking – into a PC-based control platform.
It also showed how itslinear transport system XTS unites the benefits of rotary and linear systems and it exhibited a solution for the cost-effective integration of measurement technology, with its new ELM314x economy terminal series.
Beckhoff also demonstrated its new AMP8000 distributed servo drive system, which integrates a servo drive directly into a servomotor in an ultra-compact design.
And it showed how its ultra-compact industrial PCs can cope with complex applications with highest performance requirements while minimising machine footprint.
These bring benefits including small space requirements, universal usage for almost any automation and visualisation application and flexible installation.
