Imagine an autonomous vehicle that you could call like a Uber, use as a mobile office or order a pizza from. Sound crazy? Think again. Toyota’s latest concept vehicle the e-Palette proposes to do all of these things and more. The e-Palette is an electric, self-driving pod that can be used for ride sharing, food deliveries and as a mobile store or office. It will be completely electric and fully autonomous as well as customizable according to the requirements of different businesses. It’s a concept vehicle designed to meet the future of transportation and mobile business’ needs. The partners who have signed on for the project include Amazon, DiDi, Mazda, Pizza Hut and Uber. These partnerships mean that the e-Palette will be used to advance mobility technology and better serve the public.

While for the moment the e-Palette remains a concept vehicle, Toyota says it hopes to launch the project at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
