CES 2017: Virtual Reality for Real

What if virtual reality were real reality? If it were possible to really feel extreme sensations while escaping into new universes? At this year’s CES in Las Vegas, French software company THEORY introduced a VR simulator called hypersuit. The user wears a VR headset while lying prone on the apparatus to experience physical sensations—flying like a bird or the weightlessness of outer space. According to the company, these are just some of the universes in which you can completely immerse yourself…for real. The user’s position on the simulator has been determined with the help of experts. Its arms are designed to reproduce the movements of the human arm. Hypersuit will make it possible to feel like an astronaut, a superhero or an eagle in flight.
